  2. I plan to operate from a mobile station at Pu'u La'au on the western slope of Mauna Kea on the Big Island. I will try setting up in the parking area for the hunting/hiking access trail, at elevation approx 5000 feet.

The Grid Square is BK29et. Hoping to be able to make some contacts across the water to other islands.

I will have a 5 element log periodic and a Slim Jim J-pole, both dual banders, running 40-50 Watts. Plan to be testing between 1200 and 1300W.

    1. Hi Mike, there were no logs from windward Oahu last year, you are a pioneer over there. Hope you get some good action; I will listen for you. I looked up your name, and call sign appears to be AH6WA.

    1. Will try to hear you Rick. I think my location may be a little better than last year to bend (or backscatter) a signal to Kau. 73~ Stan AH6KO
